PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: lizza has long wavy dirty blonde hair that travels down her back and ends at the small of her back. she stands about 5 feet and 7 inches tall, slim and fit. lizza has green blue eyes and a thin face. she's very beautiful even when she doesn't dress herself up. she likes to stay natural, so those that know her would probably not recognize her with a bunch of makeup anyway. she has a tattoo on her right side that reads, "today is what i have" in all red and a cursive type lettering. the bruises on her body are numerous, she can't even remember where some are. the most apparent is beside her eye and one on her spine. she now has a few scars on her arms that are quite minor. other than her various scars and bruises, lizza has smooth, perfectly tanned skin. lizza walks with determination and motivation, she walks with a level head and her chest high. she speaks in a deep tone that sounds as easy-going as a bird chirping in the morning.
PERSONALITY:
lizza has grown to be a very strong woman. through her spoiled times as a child and her rebellious behavior until she was dropped on her head to return to reality - lizza has found reality an evil thing. she had married terribly and had payed the price plenty for it. the experience changed her to become more determined and able to really stand up for herself easily. lizza can alos be very stubborn and blunt. she has a tendency to loose tact at times and really doesn't know when to give up. she's a talker when she's around anyone willing to listen or anyone she feels wont turn on her. that's where her trust problem comes along. she doesn't trust anyone now. gaining lizza's trust means quite a lot and it would take quite some time to get to that level. this is the main reason why she has pretty much renamed herself lizza, instead of anna. she loves change and has been eager for it for so long, but this is definitely not what she had in mind. lizza had always been about living her life to the fullest and eventually learned that hard work was the only way to really get by. therefore being on the move is good for her.
lizza used to be this sweet, teaser type flirty girl before her husband went haywire on her. she was really outgoing, talkative, fun, and just plain good friend to have. part of that still lies in her now even though she has hardened from experience. around the right people she will make her sarcastic remarks - which is her only sense of humor as of now. lizza loves to laugh and escape reality, but it is difficult now. she struggles to hold onto hope and faith in the world, and the only way she can really see that is a nice exchange of words with some good company.
lizza has always exercised by surfing, gym, and yoga even. she is fit for running and going through obstacles. being a surfer and lifeguard, she is rather laid back - unless of course in stressful situations. in these situations, she doesn't utter but a word. she goes into a state where she is all instincts and adrenaline, controlling her next move. being thoughtful isn't her forte. her weakness happens to be that she hides her feelings most of the time. she is a hard person to read at times, and she hides her feelings and thoughts behind a hard exterior. mostly because of how sensitive she really is. she is like a turtle in that way, she wears a shell to protect her soft interior.

HISTORY BEFORE:
anna elizza maywell was born on april fourth as an only child in downtown, san diego. anna grew into a wealthy family at the time, therefore she was spoiled to no end - getting everything she wanted or needed. this was just a bad start for their first born. many, many times had her parents tried for another child, but each and every one of them didn't make it. this only made anna lonely even though she had everything a little girl needed. looking back now she regrets not having at least a little sister she could spoil herself. at the time, however, she was glad - especially what she had heard about having a sibling. she heard that they were a complete disaster. anna was privileged until she was six years old. when her parents came to realization of how they were raising young anna. without knowing at her young age that her parents had to be more strict with her, anna found herself angry all the time. it saddened the poor child as to why, all of a sudden, her parents were so strict. and being a spoiled child she could not understand and wouldn't until she was old enough to step in another's shoes.
as anna went to school, no one liked her. the other bratty kids may have, but otherwise she was way too snobby as a child. this only made anna dislike school completely, just enough that her parents were convinced to put her into homeschool. from 4th to 8th grade, the girl was homeschooled. she learned to hate it even more. being in her home practically all day, under the careful, watchful eyes of her mother didn't seem to find satisfactory in the family. anna was cranky while with her parents, she gave no mind to listen to them most of the time. but of course, her mother was always right in the end. their relationship began to dwindle while her father was always out working as their wealthy life was decreasing quickly.
when anna finally was ready for high school, her mother sent her to a public high school due to her begging. anna was hoping to actually make friends this time in school - she was bound to with her natural beauty and rebel type demeanor. however, high school was probably the place where she went down the wrong path. anna was caught doing absolutely everything she could that would show her freedom from her strict parents and their rules. she became more and more rebellious to them to a point that it didn't even seem to be about their quarrel. it was more an insecurity that had developed for so many years in the young woman. she felt unloved, she needed attention, and she was very self-conscious.
in result, anna finally broke down from all of the wrongs she had done - her reputation being rather terrible with the high school. she was suspended for everything she'd done and was left stressed and worried for her future. finally, her father had found time to be with his struggling daughter. through it all she felt she didn't even have a father - only an overbearing mother who seemed to have no respect and trust for her daughter. it took some time before her parents were able to really set anna right and bring her to her senses.
all of this experience changed anna immensely. she attended another high school and tried desperately to change her view on things. in turn her mother eased up on the rules and the silence between mother and daughter began. anna found herself working harder, being rather depressed that she had been acting so foolishly. although this did not mean she was over those insecurities within herself. they lasted behind the ask of responsibility. anna grew up with the influence of the ocean in her backyard, so her desired job was to surf professionally. it had always been the one place where she could calm her emotions and let go. she experienced love out riding the waves, love of the scenery around her and within her. luckily after graduating high school, anna was able to get a job at the beach as a lifeguard. it wasn't what she had in mind, but at least she was working where she felt not a worry would harm her.
anna almost lost contact with her parents when she left the house. she was able to support herself, becoming a rather hard worker. her new group of friends had given her that strength and she was now becoming a lot more mature in those areas. the one thing that brought the family back together again was the day she became engaged with richard moore. richard, or ricky, was anna's first true love. the two had met at a bar and just hit it off. he was overbearingly handsome and worked as a mechanic. she could relate to him in a way that he was so similar to her. they had only dated for a little over a year before he proposed to her. despite his drinking problems, she loved him, but she hadn't known of the mask he wore for so long.
now anna lost her virginity at the age of sixteen - something she eventually became very upset about. although she said that she wouldn't have sex before marriage. this had been the reason for ricky wanting to marry and be with her so often. after a couple months he had completely taken off his mask and showed a more aggressive side to anna. she accepted people so well then, and ricky being her husband, she was just playing along. nonetheless ricky became a sore thumb in the relationship. anna had to get another job, waitressing, for a while because of his drinking problem and not being able to always go to work. she soon became rather hard on him about it, and that's when ricky started sexually abusing her. anna hadn't told anyone - she didn't exactly know how to handle it all.
this had gone on for months and she despised him greatly, to a point she was afraid of his entering their home every night. her few friends (co-workers) tried desperately to help get her out of it. anna became stubborn, thinking the alcohol was the reason for his aggressiveness, thinking that his old charming self was still in there. but she had been wrong. the first time he actually hit her was the day she had left the house for a couple days to try and stay with her parents for the time being. she couldn't stand the man any longer. luckily, her parents were accepting of her enough to help her out for some time. now anna is afraid to approach her husband again. but her courage soon takes over one day, a day when she finally grasps her life, ready and eager for change.
DURING APOCALYPSE:
lizza was working her afternoon shift as a waitress at a diner in downtown, san diego, her hometown at which she dreads from experience. after much planning, lizza was finally ready to stand up once again to her husband ricky and end things. she doubted it was going to be civil due to his condition, but she knew if she didn't do it soon he found eventually find her and pull her back into his lap. lizza was motivated, determined, and ready for being struck if it came to that.
things were hectic outside of the diner and lizza kept wondering why she even had to work. her shift had been slow, very few people coming due to the sickness going around. she had payed close attention to it, hoping her mother was alright - for she had been one to have the high fevers and terrible coughs. it was unusual indeed, however she felt that one matter had to be done first to throw a boulder off her shoulders.
lizza watched the news, frightened almost of what seemed to be happening, although very confused. the other men and woman working with her at the time talked frequently about it in the midst of their encouraging words to lizza's big step that day. that's when she got a call from richard moore. she stared at the phone in horror, her stomach sunk and twisted at the vibrating phone. despite the many telling her not to answer and be a bitch and just ignore the call - lizza couldn't do it. lizza picked up the phone and had missed the notice that people should stay in their homes, in fear that something has been unleashed on the city.
driving to the mechanic shop out of downtown - lizza prepared herself for anything. on the phone he had pleaded for her to see him, that he was not doing well, that people had gone absolutely nuts in his neck of the woods. she had the tact not to roll her eyes, even if he was lying in her ear. her mission was to get there and break the news to him in public where he couldn't hit her or do anything of the sort. because in public he really was a charming guy.
when lizza arrived the place was abandoned. she parked and hustled inside and into the garage where he worked. she found him lying against a wall with his head down. she spoke his name, questioning what was going on. she approached him, touching his shoulder and found herself slammed against a car behind her, struggling to get out of his grasp. she couldn't quite tell what was going on but her instincts took play and she kicked him back, causing his body to slam into the wall. he moaned, walking slowly towards her and reaching hungrily at her. she yelled and screamed at him until she realized that it wasn't ricky. that wasn't ricky at all. she reached for something, grabbing onto a crowbar and threatening with it. eventually she practically threw the crowbar into his head, causing a cry of absolute terror and anxiety to take over. she screamed, afraid of what she had just done, of what was happening, of everything she was so lost on. lizza stayed in the shop long enough to cause herself to faint from everything that had just happened.
she woke up and it was late at night. after waking up, lizza couldn't stand the sight of her husbands blood on her hands. she quickly grabbed the crowbar from beside her and ran out and into her car. a sort of fulfillment rushed over her. her husband was long gone. the feeling was conflicting. leaving the fact alone, she tried desperately to phone who parents who lived in on the outskirts of san diego. she loaded her car with gas since no one was around the left the scene. soon she didn't feel bad, seeing people roaming around and staring at her, following her beat down car. she had no idea what was happening. eventually she made it to their peaceful home, yelling for them and soon walking inside. a note was left to set her on her way away from san diego.
being rather stubborn, she found herself in a bad situation. the sounds outside the house worried her, frightened her. mostly because she was alone. lizza managed to get out of the house and hop into her vehicle, driving far away from the place, avoiding anyone that passed and trying hard to calm down. being rather strong she made it with her car and her crowbar to a place she thought would be safe from madness. to her old friend's place. her dear friend wasn't there and the place was a horror film. as the place was near nevada at the time, she stayed there, trying desperately to hear of what was going on, trying to find one person to speak to who didn't want to kill, or eat her. it was terrifying the things she saw on her way. and from experience and being alone, she learned quite a bit.
ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE:it was a little after noon and eliza larkspur left the training academy without a word to the others. there was no one to talk to anymore. ever since the death of her father, she had become focused on training not making friends. the chances of being reaped were very slim and she didn't want to stay in this district any longer. or for better words, she didn't want to stay with her mother. she tried her best to make things work with her but the two just didn't get along. it bothered her how much she wanted to leave her and in such a depressed state she is in. but she couldn't wait to be free and out of her mother's tight grip. the strict rules she gave her and the unnecessary restrictions she had were ridiculous in her mind. eliza only found one way out, and that was the games. and if not she would be busy enough as a peacekeeper, like her father. she couldn't handle living in such restrictions any longer, even though she broke them everyday on purpose to show her own freedom to her mother. all she wanted was some respect towards her way of living. nothing more, nothing less, and it seemed her mother would never budge. even through what they had been through with her father.
eliza walked on down a couple streets and shops, trying to decide where she would spend her time. it was the weekend and all she had was training. she didn't feel much in the mood to eat yet and she certainly didn't want to go home. the blonde stopped and turned around deciding she would try and find her father's old friend. he was a family friend the likes and she actually liked talking to him. he was a peacekeeper and was barely ever home, she always saw the man out and on duty. most other peacekeepers stay home most of the time but he chose not to, he chose to take over some of the other men's jobs. district 2 was rather lenient because it is one of the better favored districts and are known for their careers. it was always nice to just have a normal talk with someone who reminded her of her father. whether it was the uniform, or their shared qualities, she couldn't figure it out. maybe she could really be herself. around others she put on another side of her, a rebellious side that called for anything and everything to come her way.
after failing in attempt to find him, eliza ended up just sauntering around town. there had to be something to do or somewhere to go. or maybe even someone to meet. but here in district 2, many people knew her face but never actually spoke to her much anymore. she figured it was because she was a pretty hard-core career - a focused and down-to-earth one, not one to prance around telling everyone. eliza was proud of her progress and liked to show it off no doubt, but that didn't mean she would yell about it. the young woman crossed her arms and looked around the area, still trying to come up with something to do that would perhaps show up her mother.
PLANS: I don't have any specific plans for her, it will be fun to see what happens. But I definitely want her to find herself a partner or group eventually.
