Hey this is just something cool I saw to honor the members of the site at other sites. But have a "Member of the Month section somewhere around the admin area.

Some suggestions for this could be stuff like:

Male otm
Female Otm
Couple Otm
Thread Otm
Zombie kill Otm
All around member Otm
survivor otm

The list can be any number of things. And it doesn't have to be all of these things. Can just be a few. ^^ lemme know what you think.

I always liked the idea of OTMs on websites. It's a nice little motivator for putting an extra UMF into your posts and plotting c: If Max likes the idea I could do the coding and the OTM postings (unless Max isn't too busy or if anyone else wants to do it).

I don't like it, because you will see that after some time, just because there are good and less good writers, the good ones will get the awards most of the times

Not if it isn't judged by skill (as in beginner, intermediate, and advanced), but rather by activity, creativity, and attempt/enthusiasm. If the judgement is fair (judgement made by any member who wants to participate), the outcomes will be fair.

I can see it going either way. But I think if we do it, then it should be on a voting system. [whether it's between the mods or everyone] but they get to vote on who they think deserves it the most, but also based off of who is trying, not just skill. I don't have the best grammar, but If I put a lot of effort into my character's plot. I could still get male of the month. Just like that. It doesn't have to be the best. And maybe we do it bi-monthly instead? I don't know. I can definitely see it going to hell and only the same people getting it. But this site seems really fair and kind and open to everyone. So I think everyone would have a fair chance.

I don't know if I like member of the months, but certainly thread of the month would be good. Especially if it had outside nominations, which would require people to read threads not their own. Zombie kill of the month would be good to do once we get zombie accounts.

I love the idea! (as mentioned before heading off last night) It's not about who writes the best, its about creativity, originality, and dedication to the site. Those who fit the criteria will be acknowledged as such I'm diggin it!

Sure! Anyone who doesn't want to participate in any of the MOTM just PM me which categories (or all) you do not want to participate in, and I'll mention it in the OP. You can always PM me again if you change your mind for the future MOTMs.
