PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Ivrick is a petite girl. She weighs in at only 105 pounds, and stands a measly 5'1". She had medium brown hair that falls just below her breasts, and her hair is usually curled loosely. She also has blue-grey eyes, and a rather pale complexion. She is fit, and most would say that she's a shit brick house with all four corners knocked off. Supposedly, it's a compliment.
Ivrick has a few tattooes. On her left wrist is the chinese symbol for prosperity, since her sister bought her a necklace one year with the same symbol. She also has the Batman logo on the back of her neck, and a tribal art butterfly across her lower back. Starting from her right shoulder blade is a trail of blue stars with black and white swirls in them. They vary in size and twist around her side and end on her hip, with a gothic purple crescent moon at the end. This is to symbolize her love for the moon and stars. She has a tongue ring and snake bites for piercings.
On the upper right hand side of her back is a small, but very noticeable scar. No one knows how it got there. There are also scars on her arms from being burned by cigarettes and joints, as well as some on her legs. She usually wears dark, smokey like make-up around her eyes, and a base to give her skin a glow.
PERSONALITY: Ivrick is quite different in her own way. Because of her background, she has a tendency to not trust a lot of people, and that makes her rather quiet. Most people mistake this for being shy, which really isn't the case. She's just quiet. However, she does trust people more quickly than most would expect, and once she trusts you, she's a totally different person.
Once trust is established, she's crazy and a bit of a party animal. She has this 'weird' personality, some would say, but she'd argue that she's just being herself. She will become extremely random, and even a tad loud and outgoing, the exact opposite of her outer shell. However, her entire personality has two layers.
To everyone she knows - except her three best friends - she has a tough outer layer. She makes herself out to be very strong and independent, when in reality, she is very emotional and easy to hurt. She wears her heart on her sleeve, though she'd never admit it.
She thinks more along the pessimistic side, but has her days when she's very happy and optimistic. However, her happiness never sticks around because the people around her are always in a bad mood when she's finally in a good mood. Even still, her aura seems to be able to change other peoples' moods. Whatever she is feelings, they usually end up feeling, and sometimes vice versa.
Ivrick is very polite. She always says, "please," "thank you," and "excuse me." She is very formal around people she doesn't know well, and puts out her best personality, since she has multiple personalities. She is mostly kind to those who don't give her a reason to dislike her, though she will give her enemies a smile, since she's more about spite than anything.
She is almost always angry and therefore tries to make the people around her angry. Especially the ones who made her angry in the first place. She doesn't take kindly to a lot of things, often times making her hard to get along with because of her many values and beliefs. Of course, there's also her snarky attitude.
She absolutely hates being lied to. She also hates people saying stuff about her behind her back. That's something she'll actually fight you about. While she isn't really into fighting all that much, she will confront and take down those who say things behind her back instead of her face. She also won't let someone "smack talk" her friends. Personally, she'd rather have people talking about her than her friends.
She doesn't like cheaters. Even if someone isn't her friend, she'll openly tell them that their partner is cheating on them, just so she can ruin the cheaters relationship, really. Not for the victim's benefit. She plays on a playground filled with anger and hatred, and seems to enjoy it more than happiness.
Ivrick typically likes to piss people off or upset them, but that's only if they've done the same to her in the past. She's all about revenge. Not 'getting even' or 'being the bigger person.' Pure revenge. This is a reason it's best to not try to call her out. She'll gain every piece of dirt on you, and say it out-loud for everyone to hear. She has no shame, and doesn't care. If you try to call her out, she will call you out. Backing down would make her look like a coward, and she is far from it.
Despite this, she still has a great sense of humor. She can find humor is the most simple things. A certain look someone gives her, a simple word, even the tiniest objects make her laugh or smile. This is what makes her a generally fun person to be around. She can always laugh at the smallest thing, and make it sound so strange that the person she's talking to will laugh as well.

HISTORY BEFORE: Ivrick grew up close to the capitol of Mississippi. The small community wasn't the best for an impressionable child, but at the time, it was all the small family could afford. When Ivrick was two, her little brother came along. At first, they didn't get along, and would even engage in fist fighting, coming out as both winners/losers. They were always equally matched, and that taught Ivrick many valuable lessons in fighting.
When Ivrick was five and her brother three, their dad (Ivrick's step-dad, really. However, he'd raised her since she was five months old) built a small playground in the front yard. It had a tarp roof, and was large to the youngsters. There was a slid to go down, and she and her brother would often times play Dragon Princess, a game they'd made up after watching Lord of the Rings. However, their playtime one day was short lived when a group of "gangsters" halted in front of their house to start pulling knives and guns on each other. Their dad intervened, and one of the men walked back to his house and when he returned, he was pointing a .44 Magnum at their father's head, but their father didn't budge.
Around this time, Ivrick and her brother had a little sister. Ivrick treated her little sister like she was a newborn queen. Always giving her attention and pampering her. Then, about three years later, they moved an hour away from the capitol, and into a peaceful residence in Byram, Mississippi. For years, everything was peaceful until their mother became addicted to drugs. Heroine, Meth, and Cocaine. She was sent to a rehab facility after she pulled a gun on her husband. She spend almost a year in rehab before they saw she was healthy enough to be let go. However, instead of returning to the normal life, she was kicked out of her house by her husband, and issued a warrant for divorce a few weeks later. When the divorce was final, Ivrick stayed with her siblings and practical father before moving in with her grandmother.
For a while, she had a hatred for her mother, especially when she watched the woman lay on her death bed after an overdose. Surprisingly, her mother pulled out of it, and after a few years, Ivrick and her mother grew an unbreakable bond. However, bliss was soon to end when Ivrick's cousins and aunt moved close by. Her grandmother and great grandmother surged into debt, and many problems aroused. Her aunt's husband attempted to seduce the barely fourteen year old when her aunt was at the hospital with her cousin and best friend at the time, Jesika.
When Ivrick was fifteen, her aunt began to give her complete hell after she was put into a program for troubled teens. Things only got worse from there. Since Ivrick's grandmother had gotten re-married, things were not going well. The entire family was on edge, and Ivrick didn't trust him. She didn't want him in the same house as her, and Ivrick's mother, who lived just across the street, felt the same. When Ivrick was sixteen, the time came that her grandfather attempted to rape her when her grandmother was in the hospital with COPD. Ivrick, being a little buzzed from drinking with friends, tried to think of any way possible to put herself in the hospital, just to get away from him, but she was afraid no one would believe her if she did.
She told her cousin, and her cousin helped her tell her aunt, who told her grandmother. When everyone knew, her grandmother's husband was kicked out. She soon began going to her dad's every weekend to be around people she enjoyed greatly, and started using marijuana to cope with her problems. It was only a few months after she'd started that she'd ended up pregnant by the love of her life. However, he begged her to get an abortion, so she did, and sunk deeper into depression. She soon began to drink in excessive amounts, and was high almost 24/7.
However, as the depression worsened, so did everything else. She began to lose weight rapidly, and would hardly sleep. This lead her aunt, who hated her, to make everyone in her family believe she was on harder drugs. While they knew she smoked weed, that didn't care. However, her grandmother had been convinced by her aunt to call the police and have Ivrick arrested. She spent three days and nights in jail before being allowed to go home. However, her charges would have only made her stay a day if she wouldn't have spit in an officer's face and beat the hell out of another girl that was in jail at the time. Once out, she seemed to change. She was happy with her freedom, though she hated her grandmother and aunt for what they'd done to her. All because of false suspicions that were proven false by the judge.
After that, Ivrick became seeped into this even larger depression and stopped eating right, stopped sleeping right. Her grandmother thought there was something severely wrong with her, though there was not. She was simply devastated by the fact that she'd lost a woman whom she was very close to while being locked up. She attended the funeral, but was depressed for days afterwards. Then, her senior year started, and the stress piled on. She and her brother hoped and prayed for the "end of the world" to be a zombie apocalypse, though by the look of things, the end of the world was not coming. Little did they know it was bound to happen, just not when the world expected.
DURING APOCALYPSE: Ivrick didn't know what day it was, all she knew was that something felt... Different. She was getting dressed for school and standing outside when she noticed it. At first, she thought it was another one of the Florida incidents. Some idiot was so desperate to get high that he'd snorted bath salt and was eating people. She called the police, only to get a busy signal and decided to go inside until her bus ran. However, the bus never ran. So, Ivrick went back inside to get her mother and actual step-dad to take her to school. When they arrived, they were surprised that the school doors were locked and the parking lot was empty, even when it should have been filled with students' vehicles, as well as the vehicles of the staff members. Not a soul in sight.
They went back home, and Ivrick fell asleep. Growing up with a very hard life, Ivrick was always cautions and very jumpy. She always slept with her louisville slugger beside her bed, and a blade or two under her pillow. She even had many more stashed everywhere in her room, so was constantly protected, no matter where was inside her room, which was small to her liking. She'd even always been a light sleeper. No one could open her door without her waking, though her door didn't make a sound. Always being very attuned to the slightest changes in sound, she'd know it was open. So, it was no surprise that she heard it open while sleeping that morning. She'd rolled over in her bed to peek at the intruder and saw her grandmother at her door. At first, she thought nothing of it until she looked into the old woman's pupiless eyes. That's when she knew something was wrong.
She'd always had a fascination with zombies, so she knew enough about them to know their habits and how to kill them. Killing her grandmother had been easy, since she hated the woman anyways. Her mother and step-dad were gone, and she could only assume that they had thought she would be safe and had gone to check on her brother and sister. However, Ivrick left before they ever returned. Climbing into her jeep, which she'd filled up with gas the day before, she left and went to find her brother and sister as well. Once at the location, she asked about her mother and step-dad, Brian. No one had seen them. She decided to take refuge with her dad, brother, sister, girlfriend, and best friend in Byram. However, time came for the family to leave, and so they did. However, Ivrick was on a mission. She wanted to find her ex. Make sure he was okay. Despite how much bad blood there was between them, she knew she had to find him, as well as her best friend in California.
ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE:She listened carefully, but kept her eyes focused on the ground as he spoke. He crossed over a fallen tree. It took a little effort, to climb over, and she was surprised when she was too short to simply hop over. Instead, he had to straddle the decaying tree to get over.
When Lotto was finished, she offered another sad smile. It must have been horrible. To see those you'd cared about as one of those. Violet hadn't had that opportunity, and she hoped she would never have it. Then, he asked her what she'd been doing. She thought about how to word it before speaking.
"I was a professional dog trainer." She said, looking at Blackjack with a smile. The canine met her eyes and wagged his tail as he walked. Violet looked at Lotto now. "The day before, everything had been pretty normal. I mean, everyone was fine. The sun was shining, birds chirping..." Her voice trailed off as she remembered how blissful life had been before the apocalypse, and it made her slightly frustrated that she'd taken some of those days for granted. Then again, how was she to know that the end was approaching? It was like a clock had ticked down the days - except no one heard the clock ticking.
"The next morning, everything was quiet. Quieter than usual, but I thought nothing of it. I just assumed it was one of those days where the world wanted some peace. Just for a day." She said. "I went outside and this woman was screaming... I went to check on her, and Blackjack followed me. There was this other person, trying to bite the woman. He may have bit her before I was able to kill him, but I'm not sure. I didn't stick around long enough. After he was dead, I went to my parents' house, but they weren't there. Then, I realized that no where was safe. At first I thought only a few stupid people has snorted bath salt again, like the guy they reported in Florida." She explained. "Then I noticed that the entire population of Portland was in the same mindless state. They went after anything they moved - anything they couldn't control that moved, anyway. Vehicles mostly. I only saw a few people who were running from the things, and I didn't think it would be a good idea to help them. After all, I thought this had only happened in Portland. I drove for hours before my car ran out of gas, then I had to walk. I gathered supplies from a nearby hospital and convenient store before heading to the woods. I thought that the trees would provide better cover for me to get away. Then, a few weeks later - out of food and with very little water left - I found you." She said. The thought was a relief, and she smiled at it.
She couldn't count how many times she'd heaved Blackjack up a tree with her just so they could rest for a while. Having to lean against the trunk and balance herself and her canine in her lap had proved a challenge, but determination helped her pull it off. Each time they were in a tree, she'd cry, afraid that she was the last one left. Afraid that the others hadn't been able to think as fast as her and get away from the creatures. Luckily, she'd been wrong, and Lotto was proof, as was his story of the woman he found in the woods the night prior. Admittedly, it was huge relief, and she'd almost wanted to cry when she found him.
"I knew I'd have to go back to Portland for supplies." She said after a moment of silence. "I just didn't want to go alone." She mumbled. Typically, Violet was a strong, independent woman. However, this had taken almost all of her independence. While she was still just as stubborn and hard-headed and before - and a little fiestier - she knew that her independence had vanished. The worst part was, that independence had flown away before she ever awoke the next morning.
PLANS: She's currently just searching for her best friend and ex-boyfriend.
