Sophia Marx
PLAYED BY :Hayley Williams
THE CHARACTER
FULL NAME: Sophia Anatasia Marie Marx
NICK NAMES: Through out her childhood she often used her middle names for those she didn't know. She went by alias's such as Anna, Tasia, and Marie. Those who are close to her call her Sophie or Soph.
PREFERRED NAME: Those she becomes close with can call her Sophie. However she will always introduce herself as Ana, short for Anatasia.
AGE: 19 years young.
GENDER:female
OCCUPATION: Sophia wasn't always the perfect angel her family tried to raise her to be, always being with the bad crowd she often got her money illegally. However, a month or so before the outbreak she had finally settled down and became a bar tender at a gothic like club.
HOME REGION:South East.
PREFERRED WEAPONS:
She doesn't mind getting her hands messy, this girl often prefers hand to hand combat and uses her fathers military combat knife.
As for her gun, she doesn't play any games. She somehow managed to get a hold of a Glock G17. No one knows how she obtained it, and no one has dared to ask.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Believe it or not, Sophia is a natural blond. She just isn't really willing to admit it. Sophia has always dyed her hair a fiery red color and she thought she looked damn good. So why not keep it that way? It's often styled in jagged layers, the longest pieces falling at her shoulders. She has has black clip in extensions, but who needs those luxuries during the end of the world?
Although her eyes are naturally brown, she doesn't go for anything natural. Before the end had decided to ravage the world, she had her daddy pick her up colored contacts that she doesn't have to change. They are her favorite color of course. The sky blue eyes and fiery red hair are a perfect combination. Although looks aren't everything who doesn't want to look stylish while shooting at the dead?
Standing at 5'6 her height is made up mostly by her legs with a shorter torso. She isn't anything spectacular. She isn't skinny like the models are. She weighs 145 pounds. She's average. For once she doesn't care about being different.
When it comes to markings she has a notable scar on her thigh which was from a knife. What can she say, her siblings had a large amount of rivalry growing up. She also has a tribal dragon tattoo starting on her shoulder and making it's way down to her hip. She happens to think it's pretty bad ass, and it's a work of art.
PERSONALITY:
Sophia has a hardcore personality. She happens to think running into danger is thrilling. She knows with the world the way it is, every move could mean your life; and honestly, she likes it. She knows it's not fair for people to die, not this way. She isn't afraid to run into buildings without knowing what's behind each corner. Anyone walking with her should be incredibly cautious.
Other than the thrill seeker part of her, she's generally easy to get along with. She will laugh at all your jokes, no matter how stupid they may be, and she tries to stay loyal to those who have earned her trust, that's just the challenge there. Earning her trust.
At first she may come off as the bad-ass don't cross me type. She appears to be cold and menacing, but perhaps that's the 'Ana' part of her persona. Once you have gotten to know her, she really is a good character, and outgoing.

HISTORY BEFORE:
No one really cares about the years before her teenage hood. It was incredibly boring and really didn't help shape her character. She was well behaved for having wealthy parents, she did everything she was told, the only real trouble she caused was fighting with her younger brother whom often stole the attention away from her. The only parent she could ever really count on was her father. Her mother was a good for nothing dirt bag who lavished everything on Miles. Who cared?
She showed her rebellion when she got to the age of 14. She was already smoking the cancer sticks and of course making sure her mother saw it. Darker clothing was all she wore. Day after day it was verbal assault. Sophia would scream at her mother, and occasionally things got physical.
Her jealousy for her brother was absolutely terrible. She wanted him gone if it was the last thing she wanted. When they got into a physical fight, Sophia wrapped her hands around his neck screaming at him. Without even thinking her brother took the kitchen knife he had been holding and slashed it down her thigh. It took her father and mother to rip her off him."I HOPE YOU DIE A PAINFUL AND SLOW DEATH!" she screeched as she spat on him.
It wasn't long before the girl turned 18. Her mother said she had to earn money or she would be kicked out. She figured earning money would help her stay out of trouble. Oh was she incredibly wrong. Sophia knew what she wanted, she wanted to make big money. She would find a job somehow.
The red head walked out of her house wearing a high kicked mini skirt with nothing but a lacy under garment. Her top a low cut see through white shirt with lace. Looking to the left she crossed the street into a dark alley. She didn't work for anyone but herself, and only did this once a month. One night...she looked at herself in the mirror and with a disgusted look closed it tight. Her life...ruined.
A large man took her hand roughly and dragged her into a small apartment. His soiled hands touched her cheek gently before sliding down and one finger tip dragged across her neck creating goosebumps on her fragile pale skin. "Ana...how much beautiful?"
The girl pursed her lips as a chill went up her spine."800 for the night...I'm yours..."
The man paid her and grabbed her roughly no longer being gentle with her. Sophia was a problem child, and her parents both knew it. He dragged her into a room, keeping her in there until the morning sun hit the windows.
Her father knew what she had been doing, and pleaded for her behavior to stop. The girl was more than willing. She managed to find a job rather quickly. A new bar had opened up in town where people like her went all the time. They were looking for pole dancers and tenders, she incredibly quickly got hired as one.
One night she had been washing cups, the last of the people had gone, except for one man. There was something odd about his incredibly pale skin, and green leasions that had been forming on his arms."Sir are you alright?" Sophia walked over to him, her black high heels clicking against the floor as she did so.
The man didn't move. However, as she neared, he slowly started to lift his head. The green spots had turned into blood like flesh wounds. With a mighty growl he leapt at her, but the bar owner quickly stopped it with one shot, to the head.
Wide eyed she looked at him."What the hell?"
DURING APOCALYPSE:
Sophia looked at the bartender with wide eyes. She was at a lost for words. She didn't realize how much adrenaline she had as she quickly stood up and ran out the door.
The streets seemed normal. Nothing seemed to be wrong. However, perhaps the adrenaline was blocking that. For there were police cars driving every where. Sirens, screams. It was almost like things started all at once.
Sophia had recalled sickness to the west, but didn't think anything of it. Tying her red hair back into a pony tail, she knew she had to get to her father. She took off her boots knowing that running in heels was nearly impossible. Running bare foot through the town, her eyes saw the horror and reality of what was really happening.
She loved it. It was such a thrill. She had always played Resident Evil and left for dead in her free time. All of her goth junkied friends wished for the world to end this way. So it was.
As her thoughts raced through her mind she pushed open her front door. Everything seemed normal. She closed the door behind her. She also shut the shades, locked the windows and doors. No one was getting in, and only she would be able to get out, just= the way she liked it.
She went to the other side of the house where it met the backyard. She opened the glass doors and stepped out. The night air didn't seem so nice.
"SOPHIA HELP!"
Her sky blue eyes turned. They fell on her brother who was in the corner of the fence. One of those...things was moving towards him. Part of her wanted to help, but instead she found herself smiling."Go to hell...."
she watched as her own mother who had become infected, feasted upon her own brother. It pleasured her for some reason. The two people she hated the most, had and will be dying a painful death. She watched as blood stained the green grass, but you couldn't tell since it was dark. When morning came you would be able to tell.
Her mother started on his arm, then his leg, he would probably bleed to death if anything. She then moved to his neck. One bite, her brother let out a shriek before going silent.
Sophia took a step back before turning around. Running towards the glass doors she jumped. She knew on top of the window was a handgun, one single bullet on the inside.
When the metal weapon was in her hand, she turned to face her mother. Walking towards her, she pointed and aimed. When she was close enough to be atisfied she pulled the trigger. "Stupid bitch." she watched as the bullet tore into her forehead. She closed her eyes as her mothers blood splattered across her. It was sickening, but strangely, she didn't care.
This is where Sophias true story...begins, as the next chapter of survival unfolds.
ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE:Wrench in hand, Shayne twisted some bolts. Next to him a rag was covered in a dark thick grease. His fingers were even coated in it as well. He had just one love in his life and it was his baby. His baby had no name, it was just baby. The boy never learned how to drive an actual car, since, his family, one of the poorer ones in black water, couldn't afford it. Instead he got on a motor cycle. Not that it mattered since the bike just added to his badass display.
Shayne was a big teddy bear honestly. He had a heart, a big one, he just didn't know how to use it so he never did. He played on and on about how much of an ass he was. He played the role well. However, when he got home it was something else. He would put on an apron with a teddy bear on it and bake, and cook dinner for his little sister. His mother worked crazy hours. So he did what he could to help honestly.
Shayne finished tightening the last bolt. He then took a cloth that had some shiner on and it and began wiping down his baby. His precious love."That outta do itt..." He looked up andd saw students from black water walk by. He just muttered a few things to himself. Oh how he hated that school, and sadly....he still had another year and a half to go at that hell hole.
Shayne finished wiping away the last streak and it began to sparkle. He gave a smirk. All the hard work in money who put into this lovely prize was worth it. He had one of the better bikes in town. In fact knowing Black Water, he had one of the only bikes in town. He slung the two rags over his shoulder. His white muscle tee was now stained with black streaks but he didn't care. It's not like he wore his working shirts to school. His deep amber gaze lifted and he saw Ava. Oh if it wasn't the princess of the school herself.
He scoffed and stood up straight. His muscles were clearly visible. Granted he didn't play any sports he could easily hold his own in a fight against any of the football players especially Shep. He looked at her and just rolled his eyes. This girl claimed to understand Shep, but everything he saw it was just the opposite. She only seemed to mention expanding his career just because her daddy was famous. News flash, did Shep honestly care about that?
Shayne wondered that. Did Shep care about his career at all? Shep seemed like the kind of guy who just wanted a down to earth girl who didn't care how she looked, or about her status in school. He sized Ava up and down, as far as he was concerned, Ava didn't fit that description. He walked out of his garage and onto the side block, his amber gaze hard and locking onto the high school princess.
"If it isn't the princess herself." Shaynes attitude and sarcasm was clearly present in his tone. He didn't dislike the girl, but it wasn't someone he wanted to hang out with everyday and do her will. Shayne wasn't like that. He didn't listen to the princess at all, he could care less about his reputation."What are you doing in the poor people town. Better yet, what are you doing in front of my garage? Shouldn't you be with Shep the great?"
PLANS: I'd really like her to meet someone who she can't stand, a guy who she ABSOLUTELY hates and wants dead. Of course being the cliche person I am I would love for her to have a deadly attraction towards him.
