Haven ran his hand over his head "Well I want to know anything really" he took a few seconds to think "Well I should go first and tell you more about myself first and you would know then."
Taking a deep breath he spoke "Well I'm from around Atlanta, grew up with sickly mother who killed herself when I was a kid, a no show father who stole everything I had, and lived with my grandparents." He didn't care much for thinking about his dad as he wished he could have broke his jaw if he gotten the chance.
"Joined the Marines when I was 17, was sent off to Iraq for four years where I served a Designated Marksmen on my squad, watched three friends of mine get killed in action, killed a bunch of targets my CO wanted dead, came back home state side and married my wife."
A smile came onto his face as he thought about her "She was what got me through my crappy teenage years as well as through that sand trap of a desert for all those years." He could still see her when he closed his eyes and smell her hair he remembered it clearly like fresh baked bread, he missed her so much she meant everything to him it was hard to think he would never see her again.
"After I served my four years the Military paid for me to go to college and I went into Medical School." Those two years were the best years of his life he would have to say "Training to become a doctor, I was living with my beautiful wife as she worked in her family's bakery." His eyes began to water up slightly "I was in the hospital when the fever struck, the place was a mess even the medical staff couldn't walk even with there built up immune system."
"I forced myself to leave there and headed home and found Amy on our bed with the fever as well." That day was a vivid memory he could remember everything "We sat together, I thought it was a outbreak that would kill us all, so all we could do is wait for death but..." his voice drifted off. "I was getting better and she was not, she was in so much pain she begged me just to end it for her" his tears were rolling down his cheeks "She asked me to keep strong and help others since I was getting better." His hands were shaking he could see the blood on it "I killed the only woman I ever loved with my own hands" there was no point lying to her so he would just tell her everything "I tried to kill myself but I don't know if I wanted to do her final request or I was to much of a coward to do the deed."
He was silent for a few minutes as he regained his composure "When I left the house, the people were already turned into the infected, so I fought them off and regrouped with a few other survivors in Atlanta to hold a line but the line broke and many others were killed I made it out somehow." He looked down at the ground at his empty peach can "So I hoped on my bike and started heading to this so called safe zone I heard about and I ran into you."

Bellatrixx could feel tears falling over her own cheeks when he was finished, but when he paused to re-gain his composure, Bella wiped the tears away and took a deep, calming breath. When he was done, she remained silent. Why had he just opened up and told her all of this? Did he trust he so quickly? She looked at him before leaning back on her palms to stare at the random stars that were shining through the black clouds over the onyx sky. She sighed, then spoke. "Well, my family and I grew up during a time of poverty. Two bedroom tailer on half an acre of land." She said, laughing spitefully at the memory. "I was never really a child, and by six, I had to hustle food and money from people because we couldn't afford it. But, I had a guilty conscious and fessed up to the fraud." She said, clearing her throat. "Mom and dad were arrested, and I spent a night in the juvenile detention center. My grandmother picked me up the next day, and things were so much easier..." She said, her voice trailing off at the warming memory.
"I got to play with other kids, I had toys. I could play video games, eat homemade food. I could finally laugh. Be a real kid. It was great. I even pursued a modeling career.... But, that was only for two years. Then, the outbreak, and now, here I am. Sitting on the rooftop of some store, talking to you." She said. She then looked at him. While the details of her life ran deeper, she felt there was no need to go into the details. They wouldn't matter now anyway. Then, she remembered. "What's you opinion on marijuana?" She asked suddenly, looking through her bag and pulling out a cigarette pack and a red lighter.
She kept the cigarette pack closed, but flicked the lighter repeatedly before stopping to look over at Haven, waiting for his answer. If he had a bad opinion, she was going to apologize in advance, get off the roof - or go to the other side - and smoke out of his sight. If his opinion wasn't bad, she was going to light up right where she sat. With the world at it's worst, it wasn't the worst thing she could do. The worst thing she could do was give their position away and not even try to fight to stay alive. That was the worst.

It was strange telling her all this personal stuff but it felt good to get it all off his chest, it's been eating him alive being alone and unable to talk to anybody. He remembered what his CO said to him, it was always better to talk about this kind of stuff, it was easy to lose your mind and if your off your game your gonna risk not only your life but the lifes of others on your team.
As he listened to her own story it seemed like she hadd her own rough spots in her past, but then again everybody has there own problems and inner demons to fight. But she said something next that seemed random, about what did he think about marijuana. "Wow that's a bit random" he said smiling. He tought for a second "Well truth be told I don't really mind as long as the weed in not laced with anything, back in high school before I met Amy I used to smoke a dime every day."
He laughed softly "I guess it doesn't matter now, there is no cops to say anything about it besides it's better than drinking, you can still somewhat function better high than being trashed out of your mind."
He looked at pack "Are you holding on to some right now?" He shook his head "Im surprised there was even any left." He sat up a bit "If you have a little left mind if I bum one off of ya?" He has been clean for the last six years but now is as good as ever to pick it back up again at least it would help keep his mind off other matters such as being in a world thats as good as hell.

She laughed as he spoke to her. Random? In his defense, it actually had been. Then, he said something she didn't expect, and watched him carefully, sure he'd say more. Then, he did. It made her laugh. "You're talking to a seventeen-year old stoner. Of course I have some. I had my own plants in my grandparents' house. Since they never went up and down the stairs because of their knee problems and whatnot, I took advantage of it. Kept my window open twenty-four seven. It helped deteriorate the smell. Plus, my grandmother would always light candles and crap." Bellatrixx said with a shrug. She had just placed the joint between her lips when she dropped it and stared at him in surprise.
She opened her cigarette pack again and took out one for him. Inside, five more were rolled. They were thicker than they should have been, but that was because Bellatrixx had been in such a hurry to leave the house that day and get to the modeling studio. She'd also been able to find a cooler and some ice, and put the ice over her cigarette pack. Of course she'd had the pack wrapped in saran wrap and inside a ziploc bag. To keep the melting ice from ruining all she had left. She'd been able to keep ice in the small cooler for a few days. It took a little longer to melt in the cooler since it was so compact and Bella kept it in the shade at all times.
Actually, she hadn't ditched the cooler until today, so the marijuana was still fresh inside. She handed him the rolled marijuana and light her own joint with her lighter before passing it off to Haven. She inhaled deeply, closing her eyes in bliss at the taste. She held her breath for a few seconds before releasing. A cloud of smoke formed before her, and she lifted her form of euphoria to her lips again, inhaling deeper, and coughing as she began to exhale. It was mid-grade. Bellatrixx was use to that, and she was proud that it worked. She could feel the high setting in already. She'd definitely put it out after another hit or two. She was simply glad that her plants had produced such amazing buds in their premature stage. If they would have been able to sit longer - if the world hadn't ended - the plant probably would have been a kush plant.
Bellatrixx looked over at Haven before speaking. "You're pretty cool, you know that? Most people would shun me." She said with a slight giggle. Especially the police... She thought with a slight smirk. She'd always hated police, but there was nothing to fear. Not anymore. At least, not from police.

He took the blunt in his hands and looked at it's size, it was pretty thick and looks like it was rolled in a hurry but it still looking good. As she told him about her growing her own stash "Smart move" he said giving her some praise "I knew my supplier, went to school together, I saved him from getting busted in a raid so he let me smoke his products for a very cheap price ever since."
As she took a hit he could smell that flavor in the smoke, it's been ages since he last caught a sniff. He placed the blunt in his lips and brought out his own lighter. It was still burnt black from early today and flicked it open and the flame came on "Ill be damn the old girl still works" he said lighting up his own.
He took a deep long hit of the weed, letting it fill up his lungs. He didn't relize how much he would miss it and it seemed like 6 years was a whole lifetime ago. As he looked at her he coudn't help but smile as she called him cool and to be honest what he did next was just showing off. He blew the smoke out and made a ring "Of course im cool , im a very cool guy."
He took another couple hits and felt it starting to kick in. "Well people tend to think if you do weed your some shame on society and your a criminal." He could feel his body starting to tingle and his eyes looking up at the stars
He put the blunt out and would save some for later. "Maybe we should have saved the peaches for the munchies huh" he said with a laugh, it has been a while since he could just relax.

Bellatrixx stood up, mimicking a royal bow as she did so. Just as a joke to his statement. She then laughed at she put out the end of her blunt. She looked to Haven who had taken his first hit. To her remark, he blew a smoke ring and Bella erupted into laughter and shoved him playfully. "Whatever! We both know I'm the coolest anyway." She said, batting her eyelashes, as if she were making fun of cheerleaders or the "typical female."
Bella could only nod at his next statement, and laugh at the last. "Am I seriously the only person in existence that doesn't get the munchies?" She said through breaths as she practically laughed the entire question. Her eyes had begun to tear up and she quieted herself, suddenly remembering the fate the world had come to. It was funny how you could just forget and laugh and relax when you were high. She felt better than she had in hours. Her body was relaxed, and her mind was free to think as it so pleased. She looked back over at Haven then leaned back, putting her hands under her head. She was surprised the chill of the fall air hadn't gotten to her yet. She felt strangely comfortable, despite the fact that she could feel the chill of her skin.
"So, what are you theories on the 'end of the world?'" She asked him, her voice giving way to mockery. She had her own theory that was unique from all the rest. Everyone went on and on about the "ancient prophecy" that was apparently left here in the form of the "Bible" by "God's son," Jesus, who was born of the "virgin," Mary. Other said it was the Myan calendar. Others had their own theories, but none seemed even close to Bella's. Her ideologies revolved around science. Pure proof of the world. The only thing that had an explanation behind reason. The only thing in the world that had ever made sense to Bellatrixx. Science.
It had always been her strongest subject throughout school. She'd even applied it to everyday life, and soon, she was creating her own ideas scientifically. She contrasted her own idea of each of the world's beginnings. Her theories actually made sense.

After there little chat she brought up a new topic, yes that was something he had been thinking about a lot. "Well what I think, I have two different theories about what happened but in the end your guess is as good as mine but if I would have to say it would be this." He reached in his bag and pulled out a notebook "This is either a natural phemonon or man made disease."
He opened his note book and looked over all his observations "I was trained in medical school so I have a pretty decent undertsnading over some of this so far." He handed her the notebook, it was still to make out the writing with the help of the moon's light.
"The transmission is through fluids such as saliva and blood such as a bite, each infected is a host body of the infection." He pointed at a spot on the next page "The human body rots after death but most of the infected are walking around with little or no decomposing factors so I assume that the infection is slowing down there rate of decomp for maximum infection rate by getting to living people."
He pointed in another spot "By looking at this rate it will take several times longer for the infected to dye out, because muscles do wear down and there bodies would no longer be able to handle movement even if they do not have nurishment."
He turned the page for her "As for how it happened I said it was either two ways." He showed her the first "It was man made, probly some bio weapon created by some country that got out of hand but current medical testing is no where near this level from what I know."
He turned it to another page "The second is a natural disaster." He showed her different outbreaks in human history "There have always been outbreaks and pandemics in the scale of history take the black death, or commonly known as the Bubonic Plague millions died from it nearly wiping out Europe or more recently the spanish flu of 1918 which killed around 50 million people."
"A natural outbreak seems like the best answer, maybe it's nature's way of telling us were hurting the planet to much with us constantly taking away it's resources."

She looked at the notebook with interest, and listened carefully, taking in the information. "Interesting..." She said as he explained. When he was done, she took out her own notebook and handed it to him, revealing the first page where doodles of waves, moons, and tiny islands decorated the page. All the way down the page was her beautiful cursive. "Here's what I think..." She said and pointed to a diagram of the Earth's layers in the middle of the page."See, we take from the core of the earth. We get the oils and other resources packed in there and use them to our own accord. Which destroys our ozone layer. Kinda ironic." She said, turning the page.
"Since the world has many scientific explanations for things, I find it very possible that the Earth repeats itself. Now, I don't believe in a higher power, but I do believe heavily in Mother Nature. Call me a hippie, but it's true." She said with a laugh. Then, she went on to explain. "Well, the Earth floods again, erosion makes all the buildings and roads and whatnot turn to sand. The new world develops on top while the core melts sands. Since it's so hot, it can create it into anything. Oil, gas.... The things we use everyday..." She said. Then she turned the page to reveal a man with gills. "Not all the humans die. Evolution. They find land, blah blah blah. Of course, they don't find land until after the meteors kill all the dinosaurs, so we never know they existed until millions of years later. Then, we evolve until we reach our peak of knowledge. If we continue on the path of destruction and not improvement, the Earth destroys herself. Basically, the next million years around must either improve or suffer a horrible fate as we are today. This is our end because it's time for a new beginning." She said.
Of course that meant survival would be much more difficult for the two of them. But, they could probably hold out. Or just go insane and kill themselves. She looked over at Haven. It just didn't seem fair. The people with the kind hearts. The young, weak, and innocent were left to suffer. Left to fight for the life they hadn't really lived. They had to fight through something they couldn't have taken part in. Sure, they drove vehicles around and helped with the air pollution and whatnot, but that didn't mean they were trying to, so what did the Earth want to make them suffer? Why were they the ones left to watch the chaos unfold and take over everything they'd once know? Why did they have to see the destruction handed down to them? The clocked had ticked down to the last second of the world, and no one had even known the clock was counting backwards. They never knew there was a clock.
The last second had come so suddenly. As if someone had pressed a button and released this chaos all over the entire world. But, who would do such a thing? Who in this world could have been so messed up as to relinquish this hell and then let it devour the very souls of those had rose up to the challenges? Those who were at the top of the food chain? The superior race. The humans. Who? Bellatrixx shook her head to rid herself of the thoughts and looked back at Haven before putting her notebook away.

As she gave her theory he looked at and gave her the how much did you smoke look. He smiled "I forget your a high school student Bella" he picked his notebook back up and placed it back into his bag. "Evolution doesn't work like that, as well as the global flooding I can give you a lecture about that as well."
He zipped his bag back up and turned around and leaned against it. "Where to start, how about just the flooding." He cleared his voice before speaking "It is impossible for the entire world to flood even if the polar ice caps were to melt, yes it would raise water levels globally but much of the inner landmass would still be there also it would take many many years for the ice to melt that way anyway, each winter ice builds back up again and the process goes on and on."
He held up a three fingers "Also global warming is not much of a threat well less considering recent events." He shook his head "Anyway global warming is just a natural phenomenon that happens every few generations where it's warms and gets cooler, if you look back into the 80's most scientist were claiming global cooling as we were heading into a new ice age but like I was saying this whole Al Gore thing is nonsense just a politician trying to get money and fame, the true dangers with nature was acid rain and pollution." He took a breath of air and continues "Those are the real dangers governments should be looking into but like I said before kinda doesn't matter anymore."
"Back to the other point on Evolution, all it is is a pretty word for adaption." He looked at her, before going to medical school he thought about getting a teaching degree a few times but didn't mostly for money issues. "All living things adapt to survive in the environment, but if a new species is introduced or a link in the food chain goes away there forced to adapt if not the species dies out."
"Evolution takes different amount of time for different things, take plants many of them adapt to colorful patterns to attract a symbiotic relationships with insects and small animals to spread there seeds or pollen or even warn away some as well, things like these could happen over 100 or so years looking at wildlife on the Hawaiian islands when ships made contact with the island with foreign wildlife and germs."
"Others take far longer, look the three types of birds found by Darwin in the Galapagos islands, each type came from the original bird from the main land but with new isolation away from the others they each developed different sized beaks." He picked up a small rock "One beak was short and thick, perfect for breaking nuts." He picked up a medium sized rock "The second bird's beak was a bit longer and slender, good for nuts as well as grubs from trees." He picked up a skinny rock "The third bird had a long thin beak perfect for pecking out grubs and other larva from trees, fauna, plants, etc."
"Those three birds all evolved to suite there own needs for survival as the island drifted away from the mainland and as such became very different birds from what is found on the mainland currently, which took place over the course many many many years."
He smiled "Oh and your wrong on another details about the core melting sand, also doesn't work like that." He used his finger to draw a few layers into the dust on the roof "When plants and animals die they decay and dirt is buried over them, over the course of millions of years there makeup changes, sometimes it becomes coal, others it becomes oil." His smile grew more "See that's why finding fossils are so rare, many times the bones and such are ground up over time and turn into sand if there not buried quickly." He rubbed two rocks together for effect "Take the Seabed of the Oceans when the fish and other living organisms die there bones are ground up into sand and after many many years, so in short all the sand at the beach is made up of mostly old dead animal remains." He laughed softly "Back to the fossils, there rare as the bones have to be preserved in just the right way and over millions of years the bones start to turn into Calcium deposits becoming what we know as fossils now, unlike rocks though the fossils remain smooth and are a different texture and feel than the earth surrounding it."
He looked at what was left of his blunt and lit it back up "I should have got a teaching license" he said as he took a big hit off of it. "You spend months at a time in a place were there is nothing to do between missions and you tend to read and learn a lot." He felt the weed kicking back and bringing back his high "After four years of doing all that shit makes me wish we could smoke or at least had something to do, the boredom was the worst part well other than watching a friend bleed out in your arms after a road bomb goes off that is the just awful."

She sneered and looked away. He obviously didn't understand her reasoning at all. There was so much about the world that no one knew. Who's to say she was right or wrong? A theory was not right or wrong until proven or disproved. So, she instead kept her mouth shut. He lit up the blunt again, and she was surprised that his high had already worn off. When he spoke again, she looked down at her hands. What would it have been like to watch someone she cared for bleed to death in her arms? What would it be like to watch someone you hated bleed to death.
The thought actually made her close her eyes in a dark delight. Of all the enemies she'd created, she'd surely love to watch them all bleed, if they weren't already dead. She looked at Haven and then realized that her high had worn off as well. Not much, but she could feel the heaviness leaving her lids, so she lit the joint and took a long hard hit, exhaling after about fifteen seconds. She then looked back at Haven. "I wish I could watch someone bleed to death..." She whispered and looked down, ashamed.
She was sure he'd disagree, but he didn't understand. She wanted to see someone bleed. She'd never watched anyone die, though she'd always wanted to. She thought it would be fascinating to watch them take their last breath. She'd always been this way, and didn't know what to think of it. It was simply normal to her. Most people would have been horrified if they knew of the things that ran through her mind. She would have been placed in an insane asylum many, many years ago. But, she wasn't. Instead, she was here. In the free world, though the free world was destroyed, and even before it's end, it had never really been "free."

As he took another hit he looked at her as she mentioned something dark "You want to watch someone bleed to death?" The mood seemed to grow heavy in a instant but he didn't say anything for the moment just let her words sink in "It's not the same as you would think it is."
The smoke left his nostrils after inhaling a big hit "It's not like in movies or books or whatever you think it is, it's a lot worse." His memories were gathering up in his brain as he remembered all the people he killed and the friends he had lost. "When you see it happen or were the one who did it are far different feelings, to see it happen it plays on your mind but if you did it it bears a very heavy weight on your soul and mind."
He took another hit "The person bleeding is frightened beyond everything, even a person who doesn't believe in god will start asking for help not to die, there face becomes imprinted on your mind as there body starts growing colder, soon the organs start shutting down all the whole there heart beats faster and faster trying anything to stay alive all the while making the person bleed out faster."
"My friend and I were on a mission to bring back a man wanted for selling firearms to local rebels, as we was bringing him back out truck ran over a bomb took out the truck." He looked at the ground "I got a few burns on my body but my friend, the large piece of metal was lodge into his leg and was bleeding bad, our man we captured was knocked out and our driver broke a few ribs."
"I tried to keep the bleeding down but it's didn't work it only took a few minutes for him to bleed out as I watched him cry and beg for me to save him." He sighed "With my friend dead, our air support came about a half hour later." Before he knew it there wasn't much left of his blunt "
"I really do hope you never have to feel like I do, the blood of so many people on your hands because in your own eyes they will never be clean again as you hear there voices and see there faces in your mind." He took one final hit of the weed "I want you to see something Bellatrix."
He stood up facing her and took off his shirt in front of her, there were a few scars running over his body, a burn scar over his left side over his rib cage. His muscles were highly toned from years of training from his biceps, to his pecks all the way to his abs. "This is all you get from fighting and these are what you get in return for losing friends" he showed her the tattoo over his right arm of the initials of his three friends he lost.

She listened as he spoke, contemplating his words. He made it sound horrid, though it still appealed to Bella. "I've never seen anyone in real-life die before. Not until the first day of the outbreak. Maybe I'm going crazy, but the way the people screamed and gurgled until their last breath just.... It made my adrenaline rush. In a good way." She said, her voice trailing off slightly. Then, he tore his shirt from his torso, revealing sculpted muscles and scars. Her breath caught in her throat. He spoke and she listened. When she could finally breathe, she spoke again.
"Why do we have war? Why can't the world be peaceful? What if that's where we really go wrong as humans? Fighting for nothing more than selfishness." She said. She'd never seen the point of war, though she kept up with the stories. She remembered seeing a girl at school practically tearing herself apart because her father had died over seas. For what cause? Because America decided to get involved in the government of another country? Then again, that could be what the media told them. What was really going on could be a more serious story. Which made her think of other things.
Politicians were all liars. Saying anything to cleverly lip their way into office just for the feeling of power over an entire country. Even Canada had come up with a brilliant idea that America couldn't seem to follow. Bartering. Why hadn't the United States followed in those footsteps? If the whole world bartered with one another, there would be no need for currency. Crime rates would drop. Less thievery. Less murder during theft. It would be so much more peaceful. Then again, the government had pretty much fucked itself over. After all, when someone could be breaking into your house, get injured, and still win the case in a court of law, that was an obvious inclination that something may be wrong with the way the country was working.
What made it worse was that it worked so horribly from the system itself, which only broke the faith of the people. At the same time, the people kind of deserved it for all they did. The people in America were disrespectful, greedy, trashy, and just terrible people, to say the least. Porn, murder, rape, thievery, adultery, abuse - physical and mental - and abduction. Wasn't it enough to be able to breathe everyday? Sure, some people could claim they were mentally insane, but guess who made them that way? Themselves.
Bellatrixx snorted. "Maybe this was a good thing. I mean, out government was shit anyway, so why not?" She shrugged casually and leaned back on the sleeping bag, looking up at the sliver of the moon that was now visible in the sky since the clouds had moved on. The silver beams seemed to dance over her skin, and she closed her eyes.

He listened to her words and truth be told reminded him of a guy he knew in his unit, a real bastard who was a war junkie. "The government may not have been perfect, and many areas of it were corupt but there were many inside it who loved there country and wanted to help the people."
He pulled his shirt back over his head and put it back over his body "The world isn't nice, humans always fought over resources and power there isn't anything new about war." Haven could feel his high still going on strong "Nothing in life in free, even in nature it's the same as species fight each other and other species for supplies. all life fights to survive and in that fighting we grow stronger."
"Seeing death or killing people doesn't sit right with me, but I did it to survive and I did it for my country I may not agree with it but I won't abandon my country, my role in this is not over, this safe zone will need fighters and I plan on protecting everybody I can thats still alive."
He put his hand over his ar, over the tattoo of names "I owe it to my everybody I lost." It was really all he could do it was all he had to hold onto in this new world. "I don't know if you just don't like this America or not but ive seen many countries far worse who did things that are unforgivable."
"I was near in my fourth year and I was being redeployed to another area, in a small country in South Africa." He closed his eyes "I saw a village be firebombed by the local milita who were talking out against the warlord of the area, I saw the burned remains of children, women, men, and the elderly." He sighed "I was sent in with a team to rescue a bunch of Missionaries who were in danger, we found them well the men anyway."
"The men were tortured for simple fun for there pleasure, and the women were raped some of them around your age." He opened his eyes "America isn't perfect but it sure as hell is better than most places."

Bellatrixx listened. "It may be better than most, but that still doesn't make our actions right." She said simply and flattened herself on the sleeping bag before rolling to her side. She didn't tuck herself inside, as she wasn't cold enough to do so yet. So, she just lay there, looking at Haven, wondering why he was sitting here. How was it possible that her luck had gone from so bad to so good? He was trained with all kinda of artillery, and that made him an expert fighter. The fact that she was now traveling with him was surprising to say the least.
She then decided to speak. "Those men owe you. Many people don't go through with promises and words they gave to someone. The fact that you are proves you have self-worth, even if you don't see it right now. You have a good soul, and you make good use of it. You're a fighter, but only for what's right. Even if you disagree with war and fighting and whatnot, you still stand up for what's right, and that makes you a strong, independent leader." She said, looking at his face for a moment before rolling over onto her back, crossing her hands over her stomach, counting her breaths as she breathed.
She then began to hum a tune. A song she heard from Sweeney Todd. It was from the scene where Joanna was sitting in the window, singing to her golden finch because of her own loneliness of being trapped inside a huge house by the very man that had banished her father from London because he'd wanted her mother. It was Bella's favorite song to hum because her voice could hit the high notes perfectly, even though she was humming.

He smiled softly at her words for him "I am no leader nor am I a good soul." He looked at his hands "I've done to much, when I die it won't be heaven I will go do, hell is the only place for people with so much blood on there hands." He looked up into the sky "I will never see my love again, but even though I still intend on saving as many lifes as I can, that is the only way my soul could ever have peace."
He laid down for the first time on the cold roof as he used his bag as a pillow "It's getting late so we should both get some sleep we have a long ride ahead of us tommorow."
Closing his eyes his mind was filled with thoughts, he thought about about the war, his friends he lost, his wife. "Amy" he muttered to himself as he cleared his mind of all the shit and to a better time. He remembered a time of when her parents were sick and needed help at the bakery so he skipped a day of school and helped her out. She showed him how to bake break and decorate a cake.
A smile creeped onto his face as those sweet memories filled his mind. She would let him eat leftover icing from the cakes and she would kiss his lips when he was being messy. Her smiling face when the two would cuddel on the couch or when she pouted when he teased her. Before he knew it he had fallen asleep and was keeping his comforting dreams a much needed escape from the cold reality of the world.
