PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Da'Mien stands at 4'10 and weighs about 85 pounds. He has light brown skin with a clean complexion, and dark, curly hair. He has dark-brown eyes with long eyelashes to cover them. He wears a simple long-sleeve t-shirt with a funny cartoon picture on the front. Light blue jeans, that are worn out at the knees, to cover his legs. He also wears a scar over his left eye from an accident a few years back.
He blends into his surroundings real well, easily going unnoticed in a large crowd. He looks like a normal little boy, except for the scar on his face. 'Hello' is the second thing people say when meeting Da'Mien for the first time, right after 'What happened to your face?' Da'Mien has gotten used to people staring at his face that it doesn't bother him that much, he doesn't even know what exactly happened to him, he's always had it.
PERSONALITY:Da'Mien is a sweet kid, full of innocence, he doesn't know much of what the world has in store for him. He doesn't mind, though, he loves to smile at people, wanting to help them with their needs. He is not a fan of being upset, whether that's seeing someone else upset or being upset himself. He'll try to hide his angry or sad feelings from anyone because then he'll get more upset over seeing someone else upset over him being upset.
Da'Mien can always light up a room when his presence arrives. He seems to know just what to do or say to enlighten a party of downers. No matter the toughest situation that someone has been through, Da'Mien will have them laughing to high heaven to the point where they forget the bad day that happened to them. He is afraid of the dark, spiders, the monster under the bed, and most things that go bump in the night. He doesn't like to talk about them, mostly because he doesn't want people to worry about him.
He is, in no way, a clown, Da'Mien is more of a optimist, for a child. He has a heart of gold and a smile of platinum. He is cute as a button, huggable as a teddy bear and as cuddly as a lion cub.

HISTORY BEFORE: Da'Mien Thomas Jones was born in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital to Kathleen Lucille Jones in the early afternoon of October 31st, 2002. A single mother, now, Kathleen met Da'Mien's father a year ago at the local bar and, one night stand later, Da'Mien story begins. Kathleen found his father and, for a few years at least, he stayed with her to raise his son. He left them, though, after about three years into it, blaming it on all the fights they had over, almost literally, everything that came up. The biggest reason was that he thought he wasn't capable of being a father to little Da'Mien, especially after almost slicing his son's head. He had been cleaning his knives and pistol's when Da'Mien, who was just starting to walk, walked over to him and bumped his dad's leg. It startled him, causing him to drop the knife he was holding and slicing Da'Mien's eye. They had taken him to the hospital just in time, but now Da'Mien is almost completely blind in his left eye.
So for the last six years, Da'Mien's mom raised him all on her own, working multiple jobs, practically starving herself to keep him well nurtured, and just about anything she could do to keep him happy. In the last year, Da'Mien has started to act out. His neighbor's, teachers and classmates were the victims of constant pranks, all for Da'Mien's amusement. Da'Mien's mother didn't know what was going on with him until one night when she accidentally witnessed her son setting up a trap for his neighbors. She confronted him about it, but nothing was solved, so they spent most of their nights arguing all the time.
DURING APOCALYPSE: Da'Mien had returned home, letting his mother know what he had seen in the park that day. But before he could get into much detail, he found his mother shivering on the couch, she was suffering from a terrible fever. He had made her soup and sat with the following night to make sure she was okay, he had woken up to her low roaring noise. It was some heavy breathing coming from above him, standing up, he asked his mother if she was feeling well. Pulling off the covers, he was startled backwards at his mother's sudden lunge after him, she didn't look well at all, in fact, she looked like crap. But it was her eyes that were worse, they were blank, completely lifeless as far as he could tell. He knocked her back and ran back to his room, locking the door and shutting himself in the closet.
He stayed in their the following day and night, hearing the banging on the door from his mother, or whatever she was now. It wasn't until the next night, when he heard aloud noise, like someone firing a big gun through the halls, when he heard his mother stop banging on the door. It was another day when he had enough courage to open his bedroom door. He checked the whole apartment, making sure he was the only one in there; he locked the front door, grabbed his backpack, and started gathering supplies to leave the city, he knew he had to get out.
He stayed off the main streets, taking side streets and alleyways that were empty. He knew this city like the back of his hand, he knew the fastest way out while avoiding the most people. As he was nearing the end of the city limits, he heard a helicopter going towards the city, it was probably the military going in to stop this massacre, though he didn't know why they had not gone in sooner. It didn't matter much now, there was nothing back there for the young boy, not anymore.
ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE:Da'Mien had been in the park for a few hours watching everybody go by. Some were on their cell phones, some were listening to their iPod's. Some were wearing suits and ties, other's were wearing shorts and doing tricks on skateboards. Da'Mien was sitting on a park bench, feet on the seat and butt on the top, just watching everybody. He could feel their energies, every emotion, inside his own body. It was still overwhelming for him, knowing every person's feelings at the same time.
He spotted a couple on the other side of the fountain. It seemed, to him, that they had been arguing, he could see the girl was running from that guy, though Da'Mien had seen this same scenario almost twice a week. It's not that he could stop them, he was too little, no one would listen to what he had to say. The guy had caught up to, grabbing her arm making her scream. Then, Da'Mien saw the sickest thing he had ever seen, the man who had been chasing her didn't say anything. He didn't move his mouth or nothing; he, instead, sunk his teeth into her rib cage. Shit, Da'Mien knew he wasn't supposed to swear, but it was the only thing that came to mind when witnessing something as sickening as what he just saw. Da'Mien got up quickly and ran back home, avoiding as many people possible, this world was getting even more sick by the second.
PLANS: I figure I'd have him grow up and learn to be apart of the new dominant species in humanities evolution, or whatever other people need. I find I'm better suited at helping other's conquer their own plot goals.
