HISTORY BEFORE: Sophia Tucker was born on May 31st, 2006 to parents Tim and Karmen Tucker in Oaklahoma City, Oaklahoma. She grew up with an older brother named Michael. When Sophia was 3 years old, her an her mother got into a serious car crash. Her mother passed away, and Sophia was dead, but the doctors at the hospital were able to revive her. She lived with her dad and brother for a while, up until the zombie apocalypse began.
As Sophia grew older, she created a close bond with her brother. She wanted to do everything with him. Go to the movies, go to the park, read bedtime stories, play board games, etc. But once her brother started high school, Sophia didn't get to see him as often because he was so busy with school.
When Sophia was 5, she started Kindergarden at the same school her older brother went to. At this age, Sophia became very shy and didn't have a lot of friends in her new class. The following year, when she started first grade, she made a couple of new friends and played with them at recess.
Sophia is now in second grade, and she hasn't gained a whole lot of friends since the previous school year. She sill talks to her friends from first grade, and she enjoys school a lot. At home, Sophia and her brother normally hang out for some bonding time when niether of them are at school.
Now, Sophia resides with her older brother on a hunt for zombies. Just recently, Michael had to shoot their father because he was turned into a zombie. Ever since then, Sophia has been afraid of zombies and has never left her brothers side.
DURING APOCALYPSE: When the apocalypse started, Sophia Tucker was in her Reading class at school. She had looked out of the window her desk was near and saw the first sign of the apocalypse. A zombie. It was coming closer. Sophia starred out at it, frozen with fear. She wished her brother were there to protect her, but she knew that he was at his own school, and could not be reached in time. Sophia's teacher, Mr. Kemp, asked her if everything was alright, but she just sat there frozen, pointed out the window with a shaking index finger, and studdered trying to say the word "zombie."
Once Mr Kemp understood what Sophia was trying to say, he told every one of his students to get safe underneath their desks, and he notified the main office immediately. The principal came charging through the classroom, went over to the window by little Sophia's desk, and told everyone to remain calm. Sophia had started to cry because there was so much fear rushing through. She didn't want to die again, like she almost did when she was three years old.
When the teachers and principal cleared the school, Sophia saw her dad and ran towards him. He grabbed her hand, and they ran towards the high school to go and get Michael. As soon as Sophia saw Michael, she ran towards him and hugged him really tight. Sophia could only imagine what would become of their poor city, if the zombie had decided to take over.
ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE:Sophia Tucker was enjoying a nice, summer day, and she was playing with her pink sparkly hula-hoop. She was trying to beat her record of hula hooping for six minutes straight, when something distracted her. She cocked her head and looked over towards what appeared to be a shadow. ”Michael? Daddy? Is that you?“ Sophia asked aloud curiously. She put down her sparkly pink hula-hoop and started walking towards the dark shadow that was coming closer to her by the minute. She started to get scared and stopped in her tracks, hoping the shadow would stop walking towards her.
Sophia had been standing still for nearly three minutes, when the dark, scary shadow was coming closer to her. She looked up from the shadow, and saw the outline of a zombie. Sophia froze with terror. When she felt brave enough, she turned around and started running towards her modern-day styled, tall pink house. She screamed, ”Michael?! Daddy?! Where are you? There’s a zombie chasing me, and I’m scared and don’t know what to do!” She pounded on the front door with her small right fist, for the door was locked.
When no one was answering the door, Sophia ran around the backside of the house. To her luck, the back door was open. She crawled inside and locked the door behind her. She closed and locked all of the windows that she could reach, and she ran to her bedroom scared. She sat on her bed, which had been covered in a pink comforter with purple and blue polka dots on it. What am I going to do? I can’t kill a zombie. I am only seven years old. If only Michael was here. He would shoot the zombie with his special gun that he is obsessed with. That’s it! I can use his gun to shoot the zombie! But, should I? Yes. I have to if I want to stay alive.
Sophia got up off of her bed and ran to her brothers bedroom. ”If I were Michael, where would I keep my guns?” She scrambled around for one of his guns. Finally, she found a small one that had one bullet left in his underwear drawer. ”Why there, Michael?” she said, shaking her head. She ran down the stairs and to the front door. Out of the window next to it, she could see the zombie coming towards the house.
She made sure the gun the loaded and pulled back the trigger. Then, she carefully, slowly unlocked the window, and aimed the gun at the zombie’s head. Sophia let the gun fire, and within the next second, the zombie fell backwards onto the grass. ”I did it. I killed my first zombie.” But, what little Sophia didn’t know was that once a shot of a gun goes off, the other zombies that heard it, will start to travel towards it. Now, little Sophia Amelia Tucker must learn to be brave.
