VIOLET, MONROE
PLAYED BY : Michelle Rodriguez
THE CHARACTER
FULL NAME: Violet Grace Monro
NICK NAMES: Vi
PREFERRED NAME: Vi, Violet
AGE: 20
GENDER: Female
OCCUPATION: Before the apocolypse, Violet was a dog-trainer.
HOME REGION: Northwest
PREFERRED WEAPONS: Any type of blade.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Vi is a slender girl, but what she lacks in fat, she makes up for in pure muscle. While she isn't disgustingly muscled, that she does have is obvious. She keeps her hair short, so it stays out of her way. It never gets past her shoulders. Usually, she wears dark eyeliner with a white eyeshadow.
Often times, people say she looks as if she were part of an occult since her clothes are mostly dark, and she has tattoos. Her largest, yet most hidden tattoo, is the trail of stars that starts at her right shoulder blade, and rides her curve to her hip, where a crecent moon ends the line of stars. She also has a chinese tattoo that symbolized prosperity on her left wrist, and writing on the back of her neck that states, "Fighter."
Violet pronounces her words very formally, refusing to have any kind of accent known to mankind.
PERSONALITY: Violet is a pessimist to say the least. She always seems to notice the downside of everything. This causes her to be angry most of the time, and therefore, it's hard to keep people around her.
She's a leader, and refuses to let anyone boss her around. This makes her come off as arrogant, and causes disputes with other people. But, with the social skills of a panther, she never really got along with anyone.
Typically, Vi does have a good sense of humor, and will laugh at almost anything. While contradictive to her otherwise controling nature, it's the one thing that offers a little bit of good to be shown.
On most ocassions, Violet is alone with her dog, Blackjack. She doesn't like company, though it is enjoyable from time to time. She is very choosy about whom she spends her time around. Even with an apocolypse. Vi is also secretive, and very guarded. She isn't one to let personal thoughts get out to anyone, since her trust issues are so bad.
On a better note, Violet is protective of those she starts to care about. She would protect someone she trusted until the word crumbled beneath her feet, and even then, she'd fight for them. However, it isn't just people she's protective of. Blackjack has been her prime concern since the apocolypse, and she's killed many other animals, zombies, and even people to keep him alive.

HISTORY BEFORE: Violet was born 20 summers ago. It was a blissful time for she and her parents, as they had gotten successful jobs, and a house in quiet suburbs. Growing up, Vi proved that she was a dog fan. When her parents first brought home Lewellyn, a german shepherd/chocolate lab mix, Violet was immediately attached.
Lewellyn was the dog of the house until violet was ten. During this time, she was proving to be an overachiever in school, and at home. She had a promising future, but all she'd ever wanted to do was train dogs. She'd trained Lewellyn, and even a puppy her parents decided to let her keep that was from the first and only littler Lewellyn conceived.
During the teenage years, things began to take a turn for the worst. With the downfall of the economy came money shortages. Her parents had to get rid of her beloved dog, Viper. Luckily, it was her friend, Blake, who decided to take the dog.
After going through many break-ups and her drama filled high school days, Violet finally graduated at age 17. Instead of going to college, she began to train dogs for fellow neighbors, and soon, everyone around would pay for her services. There wasn't a dog she couldn't handle.
On her eighteenth birthday, she recieved a phone call from her first who said that Viper was having puppies. Violet had rushed over to take a pick from the little. She choose a small male puppy that resembled Lewellyn, her first and most beloved dog. After six weeks, and a quick naming, Blackjack was running around at Violet's new apartment and she was able to get by with the money she made from her business.
Everything seemed to be going better until the day of the apocolypse, which hauts Violet as she struggles to protect herself, and Blackjack.
DURING APOCALYPSE: It was a normal day, as far as Violet could remember. However, one thing she had notcied was that Blackjack had been acting strange. Whining, and not wanting to go outside by any means. He was fearful, and that was different for the dog.
It wasn't until almost three that afternoon that Violet decided to go visit her parents. With Blackjack tagging along, her usual weapons in her pockets, and ignorace to the apocolypse, she left her apartment, and stepped into the world. She had begun her descent down the stairs, when she saw a woman and her two children panicking, trying to find somewhere to get inside. She rushed to them and tried to calm them, and ended up bringing them inside her apartment to figure out what the problem was.
When the woman told her the story, Violet was suspicious of her. Nothing made sense. People eating other people? To Vi, it couldn't be true. However, all of that was proved wrong when she heard a banging at her door. She got up to answer it, and was shocked when a man in raggedy clothes and torn skin attacked her. Had it not been for her trusty canine, she'd be dead. The dog pulled the zombie off of her, and tore him to shreds until Violet stabbed him through the eye, striking his brain and killing him.
After that, Violet took the woman and her children to a local shelter where others had taken shelter. Then, she went to find her parents. However, she soon discovered they were like all the others. Dead, but undead, and wanting to eat her. To her surprise, they didn't bother Blackjack, nor did him attacking zombies have an effect. However, the few that did pay attention to canine were struck down quickly, as were people who saw Blackjack as their next potiential meal.
Now, Violet and Blackjack hide out in her Jeep Cherokee, and scavage for what they can find.
ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE:She panted heavily, sweat dripping from her brow. How far had she run? Where they still after her? She tried to breath. She knew that she had to be on the move again if she didn't want them to catch her, though it seemed that they'd stop at nothing.
She heard something, and it triggered her adrenaline. Before she realized what she was doing, her legs were propelling her forward, her body taking in enough air to keep her going quickly. Despite how fast she ran, she had almost no trouble avoiding trees, or keeping quiet. The leaves barely had time to make a sound as she ran.
Light ahead caught her attention, and she ran for it. It was a prison. Quickly, she busted into the front doors. An officer came from behind the glass. "Please help me." She begged. She was crying now, and had begun to panic. "What happened, ma'am?" The officer asked calmly."Please! They're after me! They won't stop!" She had begun to scream from fear now. "Who?" The officer asked, but all Violet could do was shake her head. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and began to lead her to the medical room. "Get her into a shower. She's soaked with sweat and in a panic." The officer said. The nursed nodded and took the officer's place next to Vi, leading her to the showers, trying to calm her.
PLANS: Violet plans to find others to take shelter with, to increase her chances of survival. If she does survive the apocolypse, she plans to go back to normal, everyday life.
